The village of El Carmoli is situated on the Mar Menor close to Los Alcazares It is essentially a quiet Spanish village where many Spanish enjoy a second home. It does however come alive in the summer when these second homes are occupied. The properties are mostly located on the fairly steep incline of an extinct volcano and therefore the views from the top are spectacular and overlook the whole of the Mar Menor and La Manga strip The beaches are unspoilt and generally quiet throughout the year although one or two beach huts open during the summer months to offer a selection of drinks and snacks The village has a large restaurant which is open most of the year and offers a very budget friendly meal of the day which includes 3 courses plus salad, drink and bread. Each course has 3 or 4 options to choose from too. They also offer an ´al a carte´ menu plus takeaway pizzas in the summer and baguettes can also be brought here. Many people also have their children´s communion and wedding celebrations here. During the summer, the downstairs chill out area offers a great area to meet with friends or make new ones with music and conversation to the early hours It is a more tranquil setting for a totally getting away from it all holiday
