About Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca stretches for approximately 200 kilometres along the Mediterranean, in the province of Alicante. It is situated between the Costa del Azahar to the north and the Costa Cálida to the south. Its name, which translates to “White Coast,” reflects the light tones of its beaches and architecture. This region is one of Spain’s most popular tourist destinations, home to charming coastal towns ranging from Denia and Jávea in the north to Torrevieja and Orihuela in the south.

Our holiday rental properties are located in the southern part of the Costa Blanca, particularly in Orihuela Costa, La Zenia, Punta Prima, and Pilar de la Horadada. These areas are conveniently positioned around 40 minutes from both Alicante Airport and Murcia International Airport.

The coastline is entirely Mediterranean, offering a mix of wide open beaches and hidden coves that make it ideal for relaxation and exploration. With 21 golf courses across the province — including three Pitch & Putt courses — Costa Blanca has become a year-round destination for golf enthusiasts from around the world.

This region is especially suited for families, thanks to its warm climate, safe sandy beaches, and calm waters. It’s also a haven for water sports lovers, with excellent conditions for sailing, kite surfing, and windsurfing throughout the year.

How to get to Costa Blanca

Things to Do in Costa Blanca

Costa Blanca is an ideal destination for families and active travellers. The warm, clear waters of the Mediterranean are perfect for water sports including canoeing, sailing, kite surfing, windsurfing, fishing — or simply relaxing by the sea.

For days filled with excitement, visitors can enjoy local water parks such as Aquopolis in Torrevieja or Aqua Park Rojales. Across the region, you’ll also find go-karting tracks, trampolines, and small funfairs that are perfect for children and teenagers.

Outdoor enthusiasts will love the variety of activities available: horse riding schools, scenic coastal cycling routes, hiking trails in the nearby mountains, and a total of 21 golf courses, including Pitch & Putt options. The area also offers excellent tennis and padel centres, making Costa Blanca a year-round destination for sport and leisure.

Where to Eat in Costa Blanca

Costa Blanca offers a wide variety of restaurants to suit every taste. Thanks to its coastal location, you’ll find plenty of seafood spots serving freshly caught fish daily.

While you’ll see all the familiar international chains, we recommend exploring the smaller, local eateries. Many offer a menu del día (menu of the day) for under €10, which typically includes three to four courses and a drink — an affordable and authentic way to enjoy Spanish cuisine.

In historic towns like Alicante or Torrevieja, wander down the quieter side streets to discover hidden culinary gems. A good rule of thumb: if the locals are eating there, it’s likely both delicious and reasonably priced.

Costa Blanca is also home to countless bars and terraces where you can enjoy a drink with a view. Whether it’s a rooftop overlooking the sea or a beachside patio, it’s not uncommon to find a small beer for around €1 and a bottle of wine starting at just €4.
