About Costa Calida

Costa Cálida, spanning approximately 250 km along the region of Murcia, lies between Costa Blanca to the north and Costa Almería to the south. Its name, which translates to “Warm Coast,” is a nod to the region’s unique microclimate, where the average temperature hovers around 18°C, making it one of the driest areas in Spain.

The coastline is bordered by both the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor, Europe’s largest saltwater lagoon, located in the La Manga area. This combination of waters offers an ideal environment for a wide range of activities, from water sports such as diving, sailing, kitesurfing, and windsurfing, to relaxing on its sandy shores.

Perfect for year-round visits, Costa Cálida is particularly family-friendly, with its warm waters and serene beaches. The region is easily accessible, with Corvera International Airport just a 30-minute drive from the coast, and well-connected train stations in Murcia, Cartagena, and Balsicas.

For golf enthusiasts, the area is a paradise, offering 22 courses within a 55 km radius. Additional activities such as horse riding, hiking, scuba diving, tennis, and padel make Costa Cálida an ideal destination for both relaxation and adventure.
