Without further ado, let’s get down to what concerns us today. This is the list of the best golf clubs in the area. Simply choose the one that best suits your needs and… play!

1. Roda Golf & Beach Resort (San Javier)

This club was opened in 2006, almost two decades ago, so its extensive history can be highlighted. In addition, its location is 100% strategic as it is very close to the beach and the city of San Javier, being able to move freely through the highway.

The course is 18 holes par 72, designed by Dave Thomas and you will soon see that it is well surrounded by houses, apartments and with a well-protected environment with 24/7 security. It also has a swimming pool, tennis and paddle tennis courts, a gym, football, basketball and even a playground.

2. Real Golf La Manga Club (Cartagena)

Founded in 1972, Real Golf La Manga Club is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious sports complexes in Europe. It has three 18-hole golf courses: North, South and West, which were designed by Robert Dean Putman and Dave Thomas, and remodeled by Arnold Palmer.

If you are even a little fond of this sport, you will be familiar with legends that it has hosted, such as Severiano Ballesteros himself or the South African Gary Player. The resort has an academy, restaurants, spa, swimming pools and all kinds of sports facilities. As if that were not enough, it is located next to the beautiful Calblanque Natural Park.

3. La Serena Golf (Los Alcázares)

This club is located in Los Alcázares and occupies no more and no less than 60 hectares next to the Mar Menor. The course is flat, but the Levante wind and water hazards make it a challenge even for the most technical players.

Its traditional design requires you to be precise from the tee, with bunkers and even desert areas. The club does not forget to give the best service with a large social club, changing rooms, pro-shop, à la carte restaurant with terrace and views of the Mar Menor, and a cafeteria.

4. Mar Menor Golf (Torre-Pacheco)

Mar Menor Golf was the first course of the Polaris World group that was built in the area, near Torre-Pacheco. As in the case of the La Manga club, many of its holes were designed by Dave Thomas, although in this case he had the collaboration of Nicklaus Design, creating two very different styles. You will soon see that the first ones have narrow streets and the second ones have large fairways and wider roughs.

The club has all kinds of practice facilities and the best of all is that it is integrated into a resort with a five-star hotel, spa, international cuisine restaurants and tourist apartments. Come on, you won’t lack anything during your stay.

5. Club De Golf Torre Pacheco (Torre-Pacheco)

This club, founded in 1987, was born with a great objective in mind: to promote golf in the region. Not in vain is it a club with a marked social and educational character; it is very linked to the local community and everyone in the area knows it for being really welcoming.

It is true that the course is more modest in extension than other resorts in the area, but it is still entertaining and accessible, so it is valid whatever your level. In addition, it has a golf school, a functional clubhouse, practice area and organization of social tournaments.

6. El Valle Golf Resort (Murcia)

Al Valle Golf Resort, located in Murcia, is known for its 18-hole par 71 course designed by the great Jack Nicklaus. The course integrates a landscape of natural valleys, with numerous bunkers and lakes that will test your strategy and precision.

Nor is it short on offering services such as a clubhouse, restaurant, pro-shop, gym, swimming pools and sports courts. If you are looking for tranquility and exclusivity, this is your ideal club, with a natural environment and panoramic views that will make you enjoy authentic luxury.

7. Hacienda Del Álamo Golf Resort (Fuente Álamo)

We close this prestigious list of golf in La Manga with the Hacienda del Álamo Golf Resort, in Fuente Álamo. We are facing one of the longest golf courses in Spain, with 18 holes par 72 designed by Dave Thomas. For all this, it has ended up being the venue for important national and international tournaments.

Its inauguration was in 2004, and from the beginning it was known for being spacious and having lakes and undulating greens, giving variety and a good level of challenge to all types of players. Something curious that you may not know about this club is that it allows you to play with a buggy on the street, something unusual in Spain.
